Dear Steve,

I wish I could write and tell you John Mikesell and Jay Juilfs did a good job on the Greenville LongHorn Project, but I cannot. To simply say they did a good job would be a disservice. Instead, I want to let you and all of Deerfield Construction know John and Jay did an outstanding job.

I have worked with John on several LongHorns. All have gone well, but this project has, by far, been the best. John has been very responsive to my inquiries and always up to date with the weekly reports, change directives and change orders. The project has flowed extremely well.

This is the first project I have worked on with Jay as the Project Superintendent. At the pre-construction meetings I always urge the superintendent to become ‘intimate’ with the construction documents. Jay took it to heart and really got into the plans. As a result, the project went extremely well. Jay paid immense attention to the details and specifications. The results showed each time I came to the site. At substantial completion, I had the shortest punch list of any LongHorn project I have managed to date. The attention to detail and the fit and finish of the millwork is second to none.

In closing, I want to express my gratitude to John and Jay for an exceptionally finished project. I look forward to working with them on future projects.

Gentleman my name is Andrew Marshall, I am writing you as the general manager of the new Elizabethtown, Kentucky facility. I have had the opportunity to open (9) Ruby Tuesday Restaurants with the company and would like to share my pleasure to your company. The new facility is by far my best experience to date the attention Chris Evans has given to our store and my staff has been overwhelming. I am very pleased with the overall exceptional quality of the finished product and cleanliness while being turned over to me. I can’t speak enough for the professionalism and the great attitudes to please the client that Chris Evans and Jim Anderson has given. Deerfield should be very proud of what has been accomplished here in Elizabethtown and again the individuals they employ, these guys are great.

I cannot thank all of you enough for the magnificent job you have done and continue to do everyday on our building. I have been in the customer service industry for a long time and I am very seldom satisfied, yet, you all have made myself and my team “raving fans” of your work and involvement in this project. Space does not allow for me to write to you of all of the wonderful things that you all have gone out of your way to do for us. Everyone at your office was consistently pleasant and helpful. I felt as if plans were very organized, decisions were made promptly and that our best interest was always a priority.

I want to thank Mr. Jim Anderson for answering all of my silly questions involving me in every way possible. You do not meet people with this kind of passion often.

Mr. Scott Dalton was an absolute pleasure to work with. Scott was overly accommodating on a daily basis and kept me up to speed and completely informed. No stone went un-turned in this project thanks to his knowledge and persistence.

All subs on this job were professional, friendly and got the job done quickly. My hats off to all of them.

I appreciate all of the hard work that went into the building. The care and concern for all of the property was evident through out this entire process. I went into this experience with little expectation and came out an advocate for your people and what you do.

Again, thank you all very much for the work on what will be my “second home” for quite sometime. I would absolutely jump at the chance to work with your company in the future. I wish you all much success.

I would like to take this opportunity to convey to you how pleased I have been with the performance of your company, in particular the professionalism and level of customer service provided by John Mikesell and Jim Scott.

John and Jim showed an extreme amount of dedication and initiative. They were always attentive to our demand for quality workmanship. Further, any unforeseen issues that arose during construction were always handled fairly and resolved to my satisfaction. It is sometimes difficult to find such qualities in an employee and I know you must be proud to have them as part of your team.

I am writing to say Thank You for a job well done. From start to finish Deerfield really came through!

I sincerely appreciate the time you, Dave Hoffman, and Rob Bayer spent before the project began putting together a scope of work, and a schedule to ensure a smooth work- week. The detailed scope and an excellent group of sub contractors made all the difference in this project.

I would be remiss if I did not mention Steve Milbourne. I am very glad we had Steve on site all week. He knew the finish details Aldi wanted, and certainly made sure Aldi received them. Steve did a great job responding to unexpected problems and helped keep the subs focused. Steve was the right person for this project.

Once again, thank you. I could not have pulled this project off without your help. As always, I look forward to our next project together.

 

 

Flying J Travel Plaza - Great Falls Montana

Dear Mr. Taylor:

On behalf of Flying J Inc. and PDG Inc. I would like to take this opportunity to commend Deerfield Construction Company for its work on the recently completed Flying J Travel Plaza in Great Falls, Montana.

Although, as usual, there are construction hurdles and issues to be resolved during the course of each project I feel Deerfield did an outstanding job in completion of this project in a timely and professional manner.

Hats off to you Steve, Dave and Helen McAninch, and the entire staff at Deerfield Construction.

When the winter weather finally breaks in a few weeks we still have to complete the landscaping and 31st St. asphalt but I feel confident that these two issues will be completed in a timely manner. I have been at the site several times since opening day working on other issues and will let you folks know when the weather is such that the asphalt plants open and the landscape can be completed.

I am looking forward to working with Deerfield Construction on other projects. Hopefully, from a financial standpoint, your company was a success.

I wanted to say “Thank You” for your dedication to the Aldi Sawmill Road job. We all know this job presented many challenges, with the weather, the City of Columbus, and some unexpected field changes. With every issue that came about, I was confident a sound decision would be made that was in the best interest of Aldi.

I sincerely appreciate your continual follow-up on everything down to the smallest detail with Jay, the sub contractors and myself. Without your direction, it would have been very easy for the job to get off track.

Dear Scott Bitzer,

I wanted to take a few minutes to convey some thoughts regarding Ed Speaks and Dave Hoffman, and their efforts in the construction of the new in-line Aldi located in Miamisburg, OH.

Ed Speaks’ construction knowledge, know-how and experience in the Aldi process once again provided for a successful project. Upon each of my visits to the site progress was consistent, the job site was organized, and any comments from me were handled quickly. These helped to complete the project ahead of schedule but are not the primary reason for my correspondence today. Ed also brings intangibles to the jobsite that are unique and I feel deserve additional mention. He provides a level of professionalism, leadership and teamwork that is refreshing in an industry not known for these values. In two projects with Ed, I have never had a complaint or concern from a Deerfield or Aldi Sub, have had the utmost confidence that the project would remain on schedule, and know that everyone on the job is working for Ed, not because he is their ‘boss’, but because they respect him as a leader of the project.

Dave Hoffman again proved to be the guiding force behind this project. He continually goes above and beyond with answering questions, getting information, giving advice, and being an outstanding front man for the Deerfield Team. In my first year as a director, Dave has helped to ensure my success and has become a close confidant. I know that Dave has Aldi’s and my best interest in mind when making decisions and that I do not have to be concerned of his integrity or honesty.

I appreciate the opportunity to work with both Ed and Dave. I hope the relationship between Aldi and Deerfield is just beginning and that there are many projects in the future.
