Dear Scott Bitzer,
I wanted to take a few minutes to convey some thoughts regarding Ed Speaks and Dave
Hoffman, and their efforts in the construction of the new in-line Aldi located in
Miamisburg, OH.
Ed Speaks’ construction knowledge, know-how and experience in the Aldi process once
again provided for a successful project. Upon each of my visits to the site progress
was consistent, the job site was organized, and any comments from me were handled
quickly. These helped to complete the project ahead of schedule but are not the
primary reason for my correspondence today. Ed also brings intangibles to the jobsite
that are unique and I feel deserve additional mention. He provides a level of professionalism,
leadership and teamwork that is refreshing in an industry not known for these values.
In two projects with Ed, I have never had a complaint or concern from a Deerfield
or Aldi Sub, have had the utmost confidence that the project would remain on schedule,
and know that everyone on the job is working for Ed, not because he is their ‘boss’,
but because they respect him as a leader of the project.
Dave Hoffman again proved to be the guiding force behind this project. He continually
goes above and beyond with answering questions, getting information, giving advice,
and being an outstanding front man for the Deerfield Team. In my first year as a
director, Dave has helped to ensure my success and has become a close confidant.
I know that Dave has Aldi’s and my best interest in mind when making decisions and
that I do not have to be concerned of his integrity or honesty.
I appreciate the opportunity to work with both Ed and Dave. I hope the relationship
between Aldi and Deerfield is just beginning and that there are many projects in
the future.
